For almost 10 years, it has been our pleasure to offer heirloom quality jewelry for those special little ones in your lives.  Unfortunately, recent legislation passed in August 2008, which goes into effect 2/10/09 makes it impossible for us to stay in business.  Our products have always been WELL below even the most stringent regulations regarding levels of lead.  We would absolutely never sell a product that could even remotely make a child sick.  However, the law now requires that each piece of jewelry be individually tested for lead, whereas before we could simply figure out the lead levels based on the individual beads used in any given piece of jewelry.  This required testing is extremely expensive.  Only the very largest companies will be able to afford such costs.  In an economy such as the one we are presently experiencing, it is quite disheartening to say the least.
